On Friday's post I mentioned that I had an accompanying photo for the neglected/abandoned baseball field photo if I could find it. Well, I found it, and I think it kind of completes the visual story for this little piece of old Indiana countryside. So, here is the photo for your viewing enjoyment (click it to view it larger on Flickr).
I remember that this scoreboard was the first thing about the area that caught my eye. The church it was behind was a nice brick structure, but the old, weathered scoreboard drew me in. The nails to hang the numbers on are still there, but very rusted. It really isn't much older than me (6 years, at most), but looks like it could have come right out of an earlier era with how weathered it is.
Now I'm itching to go out driving to try and find something like this in my area. Anyway, enjoy the photo and the baseball season. As always thanks for reading and check out the rest of my work on Flickr, 500px, and Fine Art America.
